EGON DC-Hub 48V

The EGON DC-Hub 48V is the centre of EGON's 48V vehicle power system. The alternator, 48V battery, DC/DC converters, solar and control electronics all connect to one circuit board, with built-in load-dump (surge) protection and a fuse indicator on every circuit.
Why 48V
At 48V, an alternator can deliver roughly four times the charge rate of a 12V system. That means a large battery bank can be kept charged from the engine and solar alone, without relying on shore power. EGON has done the complex engineering up front: with EGON's set-up parameters, a workshop experienced in DC electrics can install a dependable, redundant 48V system.
What a complete system needs
- EGON DC-Hub 48V (this product)
- A 48V alternator matched to your vehicle
- EGON 48V DC/DC converters: most set-ups use two, one for the vehicle and one for a 12V or 24V camper or accessory system
- The Wakespeed / Victron 48V control kit
- A 48V LiFePO4 battery with compatible communications
Other brands of DC/DC converter or alternator controller are not compatible with the hub. Every vehicle is different, so talk to us before ordering and we'll help you put together the right combination.

Installation follows EGON's detailed manual of wiring diagrams and set-up data, step by step. Every step matters to how the system performs, so we recommend fitment by an auto electrician or workshop with a track record in DC installations.
